Watch Hyundai N Vision 74, RN22e Concepts Race

Hyundai's N Vision 74 EV concept car has received widespread appreciation. The Ioniq 6-based RN22e is also well-received, giving Hyundai a double triumph.

The short driving film was posted to YouTube after both concepts' July 14 debuts. The RN22e and N Vision 74 raced for about four minutes.

Hyundai calls these automobiles rolling labs, and each explores high-performance uses for future N-branded electric vehicles.

N Vision 74 is stronger. It combines a hydrogen fuel cell with a battery to power electric motors at each back wheel.

Hyundai will examine torque vectoring in an electric, RWD application with individual motors at the back. Hyundai says combining a fuel cell and battery cools the car.

Hyundai RN22e first dedicated performance vehicle uses the E-GMP chassis and shares the Kia EV6 GT's 577-hp AWD powerplant.

The RM22e will thereafter examine aerodynamics and torque vectoring for high-performance AWD EVs.
