Validating the Hennessey Mammoth 1000 Sandblast Edition is tough

Ram released the TRX Sandblast edition when it seemed they couldn't get any more extreme. Hennessey turned one of these trucks into a 1,000-hp Mammoth. This film has some of the most entertaining-looking validation testing we've seen.

Ram 1500 TRX didn't need anything extra from the factory. The Sandblast edition adds a unique finish, 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, and a panoramic sunroof to the 702 hp supercharged V8. Ram's most extreme truck.

Hennessey gave the truck 1,012 hp and 969 lb-ft of torque. That's the Mammoth package's output. It has high-flow fuel injectors, upgraded spark plugs, a heavy-duty supercharger belt, and more.

Hennessey offers a 2-year/24,000-mile limited warranty and 3-year/36,000-mile powertrain warranty. The company can do that because of validation tests like this one. Testing the Mammoth on pavement isn't enough.

The crew spends only part of their time on the tarmac. They use those seconds to reach 110 mph (177 km/h) before seeking dirt. The Mammoth is happy on both surfaces. Mammoth Sandblast has off-road equipment.

Heavy-duty front and rear bumpers, LED lighting, 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires, and leveling kit.

Hennessey will build a maximum of 200 Mammoths, and each will have a serialized engine bay plaque. For pricing, contact Hennessey.
