The Quail will debut the Lexus Electrified Sport Concept

Lexus Electrified Sport concept will debut at The Quail and Pebble Beach Golf Links during Monterey Car Week. The 2023 RX 500h F SPORT Performance and the 2021 SEMA IS 500 from Hiraku Co. will be there.

On August 18, CALTY Design Research President Kevin Hunter will present the Lexus Electrified Sport to journalists. The public will see it at The Quail on August 19. Lexus Marketing VP Vinay Shahani and racer Townsend Bell will discuss the EV. Later, it will be on Pebble Beach's third fairway.

The Lexus Electrified Sport concept debuted in December 2021. The automaker marketed it as a successor to the LFA without the V10.

Lexus will develop a next-generation battery EV sports car that inherits the LFA's driving taste, or "secret sauce."

Lexus showed the Electrified Sport concept with few technical details. It reportedly reached 62 mph in two seconds. Solid-state batteries have a range of over 435 miles (700 km).

Top Gear recently reported that the production Lexus Electrified Sport may use a drivetrain with software-simulated gearshifts. The result would be an EV with cog-like shifting. This setup is reportedly still experimental, so it's unclear if it will be sold.

Lexus Electrified Sport reportedly has steer-by-wire. Its powertrain could torque vector.

Toyota will produce solid-state batteries in 2025. First hybrids, then EVs.
