2023 Fisker Ocean Sport and Ultra

Paul Stephens Autoart's latest masterpiece is the 993R. Paul Stephens began with a customer brief requesting a 993 with 25% improvements in every category.

Fisker said the Ocean Sport began at $37,499 and the Ocean Ultra at $49,999. Production begins on November 17. The Ocean One cost $68,999 and 5,000 customers placed a $5,000 deposit in 30 days to reserve it.

On November 18, Fisker will begin taking orders for the Ocean Extreme in select markets. Fisker will start taking orders for the Sport and Ultra overseas in the first quarter of 2023. However, Ocean reservations are open in all markets.

Fisker is proactive about the Inflation Reduction Act passed by the Senate. As the bill is expected to become law soon, the company is offering reservation holders a "binding contract to purchase" that turns their deposits into a non-refundable order. According to the company, this will allow customers to "retain eligibility for a $7,500 federal tax credit for EVs" if the IRA passes.

Henrik Fisker, CEO, added, "We moved quickly to preserve our qualifying US reservation holders' federal tax credit." In addition to global Fisker Ocean One customers, US reservation holders who wanted a Fisker Ocean could lock in a purchase commitment.

Long term, the company is exploring US-based production to make some models eligible for the EV tax credit under new requirements. This is interesting because Fisker said the Pear will be built at Foxconn's Ohio plant.

In the meantime, Fisker is talking with Magna about increasing Ocean production in the second half of 2023 to build more Ocean Sport and Ultra trims for the U.S. market.
