The 2016 Formula One World Champion bought a Rimac Nevera instead of a Lexus ES. Rosberg secured the first retail unit; Bugatti Rimac will keep the #000 car.
Rimac said the former racer commissioned it with a "aggressive specification" he called "full Batmobile spec." Stellar Black exterior, exposed carbon fiber, polished Vertex wheels, gloss black calipers.
The black Alcantara interior continues the dark theme. The model has Rosberg's name, signature, and "001/150" on a plate.
Rimac says Rosberg joined them after seeing the C Two concept years ago. He became the company's first customer.
Since meeting Mate [Rimac] and understanding Nevera's genius, he's wanted car number one.
This car is my dream car. It showcases the best of innovative electrification technology in a car designed from the ground up to be fast and fun to drive.
Mate Rimac said, "It's great to know that someone who has mastered the most focused and cutting-edge motorsport in the world loves our car." Nico's cars are used and enjoyed, which is what we encourage our owners to do.
Rosberg can't wait to see what the Nevera can do. Its 120 kWh battery pack powers four motors that produce 1,887 hp (1,408 kW / 1,914 PS) and 1,740 lb-ft (2,360 Nm) of torque. The model can go from 0-60 mph in 1.85 seconds and run the quarter mile in 8.582 seconds.
