Lordstown Endurance competes for North American Truck of the Year in Detroit

All week, we've covered the 2022 Detroit Auto Show. Motown-based Lordstown makes full-size trucks. The electric pickup was a 2023 NATOY finalist.

After years of delays and selling its factory to Foxconn, Lordstown Motors still plans to produce the Endurance this year. A Detroit Auto Show prototype looks nearly customer-ready.

20-inch wheels have in-hub motors. Lordstown's Endurance will have 600 hp. Modern styling despite delays. In-cabin infotainment and driver's info are displayed on a wide screen.

NACTOY went to one of the few all-new or substantially new trucks coming out this year. A vehicle must be on sale by the end of 2022, not just produced. Lordstown Motors hasn't confirmed a sale this year.
