In addition, the outside skin of the passenger-side door has been pulled off, the two front wheels and hubs have been ripped from the front, and the passenger-side rear wheel and hub are gone, indicating that the Chevy sustained multiple impacts in the crash.

Road & Track learnt from the California Highway Patrol's San Bernardino division that the driver was arrested for DUI. He wears a neck brace while being treated. No other collision victims were hurt.
