BMW 530i and 630i GT M Sport in India Receive 50th Anniversary M Editions

BMW introduced identical versions of the 5-Series and 6-Series GT as part of BMW M's 50th anniversary celebrations. BMW released special models of the 530i and 630i to celebrate.

The M Sport package adds sportiness to near-end-of-life cars. The 50 Jahre M Editions have black kidney grilles, bumper intakes, and rear aprons, a distinctive emblem, and jet-black wheels.

The 5-Series features 18-inch alloys and the 6-Series has 19-inch alloys. Behind them are red-painted M Sport brakes. M Accessories and Carbon Package can alter the exterior.

Inside, the BMW Live Cockpit Professional has two 12.3-inch displays with BMW OS 7.0 instead of 8.0.

The models have Dakota leather Sports seats, M seatbelts, ambient lighting, four-zone climate control, leather steering, and a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Standard includes adaptive suspension.

Both variants use a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine and an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission.

The 530i has 248 horsepower (185 kW / 252 PS) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, while the 630i has 255 hp (190 kW / 258 PS) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft).

The 530i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition costs Rs 67.50 lakh ($84,525) in India, while the 630i M Sport 50 Jahre M Edition costs Rs 72.90 lakh ($91,280). BMW's Chennai facility makes both models.

BMW will launch 10 50 Jahre M Editions in India by 2022. After the 3-Series, 5-Series, and 6-Series GT, expect the M4, M5, and other X variants.
