Audi Launching New European And UK EV/PHEV Charging Service

Audi is launching a new EV and PHEV charging service in Europe on January 1, 2023, in cooperation with Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH and its Elli brand.

The service will replace the existing Audi e-tron Charging Service and will be available in 27 countries, providing access to 400,000 charging points.

The service will offer three different options to Audi owners in the UK: basic, plus, and pro. The basic service is intended for owners who primarily charge their vehicles at home and has no monthly fee, but charges a per-kWh fee for AC, DC, and Ionity high-performance charging.

The plus service is designed for owners who only need to charge their vehicles away from home occasionally and has a monthly fee and lower per-kWh fees for AC, DC, and Ionity charging.

The pro service is for drivers who frequently charge their vehicles on the road and has a monthly fee and even lower per-kWh fees for AC, DC, and Ionity charging.

Owners will be able to locate compatible charging points and start the charging process through the myAudi app or with an RFID card.

The "Plug & Charge" function, which allows charging to start as soon as the connector is plugged in and billing to be done through the saved form of payment in the myAudi app, will be added to the Q4 e-tron and Q8 e-tron models in mid-2023.
