Another 1,000-unit Toyota FJ Cruiser Final Edition debuts

The Toyota FJ Cruiser is one of the most enduring nameplates in the world, in terms of production ends. The retro-styled off-roader was phased out in the US in 2014 and in Japan in 2017 with a Final Edition. Toyota sells and makes the model in the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia.

Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, a Toyota distributor in Saudi Arabia since 1955, has announced the launch of the FJ Cruiser's final year, with production ending in December 2022.

2023 Toyota FJ Cruiser Final Edition limited to 1,000 units. The limited-run model will be similar to the FJ Cruiser Final Edition released in Japan in 2017. (see gallery above).

The 2023 FJ Cruiser Final Edition for Saudi Arabia will have beige exterior and interior trims and blacked-out grille, bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and spare tire cover. An exclusive numbered badge will be included.

This special edition has no engine changes. The off-roader will still be powered by a 4.0-liter V6 gasoline engine with 270 horsepower and 280 pound-feet.

It will have A-TRAC, Crawl Control, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with an off switch, and an electronically locked rear differential.

In Q4 2022, Toyota will deliver the 2023 FJ Cruiser Final Edition. The limited edition's price is unknown.
