Alfa Romeo will launch a luxury SUV in the U.S.

Alfa Romeo has failed in the U.S. before, but it will try again with a big car.

Company is still designing the car. It can be a crossover, SUV, or sedan, but not a BMW X5 or X6.

The brand's CEO told Reuters, "We want the correct blend." By year's end, we'll decide.

Imparato feels that designing for international markets requires mastering the US market. Imparato: "Our large vehicle offering must serve overseas markets." Stellantis' international luxury brand depends on this.

Alfa Romeo is focused less on sports cars and more on premium items in key countries since joining Stellantis.

Alfa's North American boss said in May that brands should focus on growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.

"We target major model volume regions for technological investment dollars."
