2023 Toyota Crown teaser confirms patent designs

A new Toyota teaser image confirms the next-generation Crown's swoopy, high-riding design

The teaser promises an unveiling on July 15 and depicts the vehicle's profile from the nose to the door handles.

A few weeks ago, patent photos of a Toyota vehicle with a crown-like insignia and coupe-like (or sportback, to borrow an Audi term) body lines were posted online

It had a sloping hood and sharp headlamps. It had trim along both side doors, which is apparent in the teaser image above

The parallels between these patent images and the new Toyota Crown emblem lead to them being accurate. The new car will be very different from its predecessors

Leaked dealer documents reveal a Crown SUV will be launched in the U.S. and could arrive this fall

The new model will reportedly be built on the TNGA-K design, which enables FWD, AWD, hybrid, and electric powertrains. The new Crown will be unveiled July 15
