2023 Ram Truck Lineup Gets Digital Instrument Cluster, Luxury Elite Edition

The 2023 model year improvements continue with Ram's 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks.

Starting with the 2023 Ram 1500, there's a new Limited Elite Edition that aspires to be opulent. Premium leather bucket front seats with heating, ventilation, and 12-way power adjustment are included.

A jeweled rotary shifter, heated steering wheel, and suede headliner are all included. Other attractions include a colorful pedal kit and "unique instrument cluster theme."

Although the interior is luxurious, the remainder of the vehicle is utilitarian, with a deployable bed step, bed extender, and multifunction tailgate. It has a cargo divider and four adjustable tie-down hooks.

A 12-inch digital instrument cluster is also new for 2023. The company only shared a few photos, but said the “full-color cluster has five reconfigurable tiles for at-a-glance data” The driver can choose between analog and digital displays.

Selec-Speed Control is now standard on the Ram 1500 Rebel and available on the Back Country and Off-Road Group packages (depending on the model). All versions get a rear-seat reminder alert and LED hitch light in the tailgate handle.

Other changes include an Emergency Vehicle Alert system on 12-inch Uconnect 5 models and a revised Ram 1500 (RAM)RED Edition with a UV-C glove box light that kills bacteria in a 3-minute cycle.

The Ram 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty now include a digital instrument cluster. Buyers can also get a digital rearview mirror with a side camera.

Customers can now obtain a new Trailer Reverse Steering Control system that lets drivers “simply crank the dial in the direction you want the trailer to go while the system controls the steering wheel.”

Additions include a redesigned Mopar sport performance hood for Laramie and Limited models and telescoping trailer tow mirrors. Models benefit from "camera system upgrades, including the new Trailer Tow pages app, numerous view settings, behind-trailer view, and blind-spot vision."
