2023 Nissan Qashqai in Australia with 1.3-liter turbo and four trims

The latest-generation Nissan Qashqai has arrived in Australia, giving shoppers a new compact SUV alternative.

The Qashqai ST, ST+, ST-L, and Ti will be sold locally. All four models are powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 110 kW (147 horsepower) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque, improvements of 4 kW (5.4 hp) and 50 Nm (36.8 lb-ft) over the previous-generation SUV.

Upgraded engine paired with X-Tronic automatic transmission. Nissan Australia says the 2023 Qashqai can achieve 38 mpg combined.

ST starts at AU$33,890 ($23,276). This variant includes a rear camera, rear parking sensors, Forward Collision Warning with Forward Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning with Intelligent Lane Intervention, Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention, Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert with AEB, Intelligent Cruise Control, and High Beam Assist.

An 8.0-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is standard.

ST+, AU$37,890 ($26,023) Fog lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12.3-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, and an Around View Monitor are included.

Next is the AU$42,190 ST-L. It has adaptive LED headlights, privacy glass, LED turn signals, 19-inch alloys, dual-zone climate control, and an eight-way powered driver's seat.

Qashqai Ti costs $32,548 (AU$47,390). It has a 10.8-inch head-up display, a quilted leather inside with massaging front seats, a hands-free power tailgate, and a 10-speaker Bose audio system.
