2023 Mercedes EQS starts at $104,400 and has 305 miles of range

The 2023 Mercedes EQS SUV will be available this fall for $104,400. The luxury electric crossover will have three grades and three powertrains.

Entry-level Premium models come with heated and ventilated leather front seats and a panoramic glass roof. Burmester 3D sound system, 64-color ambient lighting system, electrically adjustable second row.

20- or 21-inch wheels, rear axle steering, and a Surround View Parking Package are all highlights. Illuminated door sill plates, an AIRMATIC air suspension, and a Driver Assistance Package are also included. Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping and Blind Spot Assist, and PRE-SAFE PLUS with PRE-SAFE Impulse Side.

Exclusive costs $108,650. It has quick heating, multicontour front seats with massaging, and four-zone climate control. Air Balance Package, head-up display, and Mercedes star logo projectors are also available.

The $110,650 Pinnacle trim has second-row executive seats and a wireless smartphone charger in the rear armrest. Comfort headrests and an MBUX tablet are also available.

450 and 580 have slight differences besides trim levels. 450 variants have 12.8-inch infotainment systems, while the EQS 580 4MATIC SUV has a 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen.

All models have an EQ-specific navigation system that "plans the fastest and most convenient route, including charging stops, and dynamically adjusts to traffic congestion or a change in driving style."

The EQS 450+ SUV's rear-mounted electric engine produces 355 horsepower and 419 lb-ft of torque. It can travel 305 miles (491 km) on a single charge.

The EQS 450 4MATIC SUV likely has a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with 355 horsepower (265 kW / 360 PS) and 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) of torque. The mid-level crossover has a 285-mile EPA-estimated range (459 km).

The performance-oriented EQS 580 4MATIC SUV sports a dual-motor all-wheel drive system that delivers 536 horsepower and 857 Nm of torque. The more powerful variant offers a 285-mile range (459 km).
